BIAAF CONTINUES WEAVING THE FUTURE
30 finalists of 17 nationalities and 4 continents compete for the highest award
BIAAF continues weaving the future and will bring together its International Jury on November 11 at the central Ensanche Building in Bilbao, to choose the winners in the VII Edition of one of the most prestigious emerging art and fashion contests in Europe.
It is a unique and unforgettable edition for BIAAF in many respects, starring the spirit of overcoming, empathy, emotion and in which our creativity and dreaming ability has been tested on many occasions. But we don´t give up. We cannot fail to thank the designers, colleagues, schools and public and private institutions for their commitment, encouragement, effort and work to make it possible for this VII Edition to continue.
This year we can announce that the contest will present news. We wanted to face the difficulties and limitations imposed by the pandemic as an opportunity to reinvent ourselves and stay conected to our entire community of collaborators and designers in a more innovative way.
To do this, the 30 finalist collections will be presented to the jury, making technology our great ally, in which both technologists and creatives are learning enormously from each other to make our International Jury enjoy an experience as close as possible to having these 30 great stories in their hands.
Despite the circumstances, prestigious professionals from the world of Culture, Design, Communication, Enterprise and Education have accepted our invitation to become members of our International Jury. His commitment and vocation to support and boost emerging fashion, and especially these young talents, is more than evident. Without his work and that of all the actors involved (sponsors, institutions and collaborators) it would not have been possible to achieve everything so far.
On November 12th, the Awards ceremony will be held, in which the winners of each category will be announced live- Best Dressing Design, Best Accessory Design and Best Emerging Basque Designer.
