These are the finalists of the VII edition of our international competition
The jury selects the finalists from more than 1,200 designers from 90 countries.
Every two years, we live a day of excitement, nerves and a lot of work. Today BIAAF has entrusted its jury with a difficult and exciting task in equal measure: the selection of the finalists of the VII edition of its international fashion competition.
The members of the jury, gathered in the Chillida room of the Bizkaia Aretoa of the UPV / EHU (spectacular building designed by Álvaro Siza on the banks of the Nervión), for 10 hours have analyzed each work presented and deliberated on the suitability of each one until achieving the long-awaited selection of emerging designers.
How to select the finalists among more than 1,200 designs?
María Victoria Cañas, President of BIAAF and who has accompanied the jury throughout the session, explains it to us: “After seven editions and more than 6,000 designers, we continue to be amazed with their talent and creativity and the selection of the finalists becomes even more complicated The jury focuses on every detail, on the finishes, textures, volumes … but also on the execution of the creative idea, its relationship with the art world and its potential to transmit and project that personal imagery, that history of each designer. ”
