The Christian Dior exhibition in London is a must
The Victoria and Albert Museum opens a large exhibition that pays homage to Christian Dior
Spanning 1947 to the present day, this exhibition traces the history and impact of one of the 20th century’s most influential couturiers, exploring the enduring influence of the fashion house, and Dior’s relationship with Britain.
The exhibition takes a tour of the work of all the artistic directors of the firm, from the brilliant YSL, to the controversial John Galliano, Raf Simons or the first woman to direct the house: Maria Grazia Chiuri, current creative director. The exhibition, entitled “Christian Dior Designer of Dreams”, takes as reference the successful exhibition held in Paris last year, although adding new perspectives to the work of the designer, such as its relationship with British culture, from which I considered a follower.
