Christian Dior, Designer of Dreams
The Victoria & Albert Museum will held next years its most spectacular exhibition.
Last year we talked about the spectacular exhibition that the Palais Galliera of Paris dedicated to the house Dior for its 70th anniversary. Today we come to talk about a new display dedicated to the maison, but this time in the museum Victoria & Albert of London. Although the exhibition will not open its doors until next February, the hype already places
it as the most anticipated of the year, and as a milestone in the history of the museum. It will be the largest exhibition in the United Kingdom dedicated to the work of Christian Dior, in addition to the largest fashion exhibition in the history of the museum, after “Savage Beauty”, dedicated in 2015 to Alexander McQueen.
In addition to serving as a tribute to the master Christian Dior, the exhibition will cover the work of all the company’s artistic directors, from Yves Saint Laurent, to John Galliano, Raf Simons or Maria Grazia Chiuri, current creative director of the French house. The exhibition, entitled “Christian Dior. Designer of dreams “, will take as reference the successful exhibition held in Paris last year, although adding new perspectives to the work of the designer, such as his relationship with the British culture.
The exhibition will open its doors on February 2, 2019 and can be seen until July 14 of that year. At present, you can visit the exhibition Frida Khalo, Making Her Self Up at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
