Sustainable Fashion Workshop
In December, British Council organizes "Sustainable Fashion Workshop", an activity within its sustainable fashion program.
In partnership with Madrid city council in the framework of Madrid Capital de Moda, the British Council proposes a bespoke workshop on sustainability in Fashion, targeting young fashion designers from Spain, France, Greece and Portugal who will attend the #SFashionMADRID event in Madrid (12-13th December).
The workshop is aimed at young fashion professionals on the route to sustainability. We will debunk some of the myths around sustainability and aesthetics, sustainability and consumption and create a sense of what sustainability means today. For fashion enterprises starting out now, sustainability is not about cutting back, it is about the future of their
businesses and this is a forum for formulating it.
The workshop will be directed by Alice Holmberg with the participation of British Fashion Brand, One by Me, among others. We are looking for designers and brands who have been working on sustainability for at least 2 years and who are looking forward to learning new ways to build and shape their business for the European market.
The workshop will take place on 12th and 13th December at Pabellón Cecilio Rodríguez (Madrid) and will be delivered in English. If your are chosen to participate, the British Council will cover the fees of this workshop in order for you to attend.
