International Fashion Trade Show Paris
From 2nd to 5th September at Porte de Versailles during the unveiling of the SS17 collections, the Who’s Next and Première Classe trade shows invite visitors to extend their summer holidays with a trip to the Mediterranean.
The history, culture, architecture and landscapes of the Mediterranean have all inspired the trade show’s creative teams this season. The design studio, GGSV, has been tasked with designing the exhibition hall’s scenography, while the creative studio, Fakepaper, and the artistic director agency Cordialement Paris have directed the trade show’s visual communication campaign. Don’t miss out – summer has only just begun!
This year, the Who’s Next and Premiere Classe have introduced Up-cycling, the art of letting nothing go to waste and transforming the old into new. The trade shows have set 7 Mediterranean ready-to-wear designers this challenge, in partnership with KILIWATCH, the Parisian concept store renowned worldwide for its vintage collections.
The main principle was to give the designers the chance to hunt out unique items from the Kiliwatch warehouse, home to one of the biggest second-hand clothing stocks in France. The challenge now is for the designers to transform and create their future collections which will be showcased as an exhibition at the Porte de Versailles trade shows this September. This same exhibition will then be set up as a pop-up store in the Kiliwatch shop-window from 1st September to 1st October 2016, before leaving for Japan to showcase at the Fashion Building Laforet in the ultra-trendy Harajuku area in Tokyo.
