DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

 

This Collection of “Reconstruction” is intended to redesign Classic shoes with new construction method but keeping traditional craftsmanship, Experience of Walking, Interaction between feet and the ground and Relationship between Body-scape (Foot / Shoe Last) and whole shoe shape.

INSPIRATION

 

Initial idea of structure with strings come after sculpture artist Barbara Hepworth, but also Henry Moore and Naum Gabo. Structural forms and flows referred Architects Zaha Hadid, Santiago Calatrava and Car design such as Mercedes Benz sculpture experiments and Bugatti type 57. Fundamentally organic shape of Skelton and Beetle.

MATERIALS USED

Vegetable Tanned Baby Calf, Oak Bark Leather, Polyethylene Modelling Board, Epoxy Pate, Original Patent Lacquer and Leather Hardener.
