2018 has been our best year
This year, we have achieved our main goals and here we tell you some of them
Every two years something so extraordinary happens that it is difficult to explain, every 730 days the city of Bilbao vibrates with a project that 12 years ago seemed crazy.
13th June, the international exhibition, that unites the 30 finalists of the sixth edition of our contest, had been launched – 1,673 participants from 90 countries participated.
The show has once again been created by Pedro Pérez de Zorrozua and his team. Zorrozua is the ideologist of all our exhibitions, who with talent, work and a lot of creativity, get excited and excited with each flash of LED or each note of the musical composition of this year. Because their creations are a demonstration that art can be interactive and that we can live a unique experience strolling through the # BIAAF2018 mecanotubos.
Looking for sustainable alternatives makes us more creative

Victoria Cañas, named Illustrious Citizen of Bilbao
Victoria Cañas, president of BIAAF, was recognized as “Ilustre de Bilbao!, the highest civil distinction granted by the City of Bilbao to those citizens who are ambassadors of Bilbao for their contribution to culture and society.
In such a special year we can only thank the designers who have trusted in our project, our team and our partners , especially the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Bilbao City Council, which year after year trust BIAAF as a engine of the creative industries of Bilbao – Bizkaia.
