Age of Empires, a walk through Ancient China art at the MET

The exhibition, centered around the Qin and HAn dynasties, shows objets never before seen in the West

From the 3rd of April until the 16th of July the Metropolitan Museum of New York will held the exhibition Age of Empires: Chinese Art of the Qin and Han Dynasties, that gathers more than 160 objects of Chinese Art from 221 B.C. to 220 A.C.

The exhibition shows works of ceramics, metalwork, textiles, sculptures, painting and calligraphy drawn from 32 museums of China, some of them never before seen in the West. The Qin and Han dynasties were a crucial historical period, establishing the cultural and social foundations of modern China.
