Hubert de Givenchy, a retrospective in Calais
The Cité de la Dentelle et de la Mode celebrates his lifelong work with a new exhibition
The Cité de la Dentelle et de la Mode of
Calais presents until Deceber 31st the exhibition Hubert de Giverchy, which
celebrates de life and work of the French designer. 90 pieces can be seen at
the retrospective, some of them owned by his most famous clients, like Jackie
Kennedy or his great friend, Audrey Hepburn. Among the most prominent pieces of
the display are the designs Givenchy made for Holly Golightly’s wardrobe in
Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The exhibition is completed with video projections,
sketches and other objects that illustrate the creator’s body of work.
