SIKKA INGENTIUM by DANIEL CANOGAR
The video-installation reflects on culture and technology and can be seen until October 15th
Spanish artista Daniel Canogar presents at the Museo Universidad de
Navarra his video-installation Sikka Ingentium. The work is made of 2400 recycled
DVDs, over which their content is screened. The installation seeks to reflect
on the caducity of formats and mediums used to storage information.
It is directly influenced by the “sikka”, golden coins that were sewed
into clothes during the Babylonian period and evolved until they became today’s
sequins, paying homage also to the world of cinema and the glamour og
Hollywood. An exhibition that combines sustainability, cinema and fashion, and
you can visit until October 15th.
