Fashion Films have become one of the most successful disciplines within the audiovisual sector and more and more fashion houses and publications shoot their own short films every season. Today we gather some of the best of the year, what are your favorites?
We start with Gucci, one of the most avant-garde companies on the scene that since the arrival of Alessandro Michele as creative director has made eccentricity his hallmark. In this fashion film we are presented with a very special museum, whose works hide the clothes of the season:
The next fashion film is “Europa II”, a short film produced by Vogue Spain that won the Best Fashion Film Award at the last La Jolla festival in the United States (the Cannes of fashion films), as well as the award for Best Director for Imanol Ruiz de Lara. Neons and retrofuturism in a story starring Ingrid Garcia Jonsson and Yao Yao:
Elle Fanning becomes a Holly modern Golightly is this piece from director Francis Lawrence for Tiffany & Co. Paying homage to the movie starring Audrey Hepburn, the young actress is immersed in a New York fantasy with the legendary “Moon River” as her soundtrack:
Prada also chooses the neon aesthetic for “Prada Neon Dream”, the Fashion Film that advances its fall / winter 2018 collection. Starring Sarah Paulson (known for American Horror Story and the recent Oceans 8), the actress plays here various roles in a short film that reminds us of David Lynch and his film Mulholland Drive:
