The Ephemeral Museum of Fashion

The exhibition will be displayed at Galleria degli Uffizi until October

The famous Pitti Immagine Uomo, the most important male
fashion event of the year, took place this week in Florence. To celebrate it, a
new exhibition opened its gates at the Italian city,  The Ephemeral Museum of Fashion. The
exhibition, can be visited until the 22th of October at Galleria degli Uffizi
and it’s curated by Olivier Saillard, Director of Palais Galliera in Paris.

The exhibition displays near 200 pieces from the
mid-nineteenth century to the present, taking up eighteen rooms of the museum.
The way of showcasing the garments, with a dream-like, decacent staging seeks
to show the momentary nature of fashion and fashion exhibitions. Moreover, the
exhibition serves as a preface for the city’s Museo Della Moda di Palazzo
Pitti, that will open its gates soon.
